we prayed here, behind this rock.

On my 2nd day at Palmerston North, NZ, I went skiing at Mt Ruapehu. Actually, I was supposed to attend my 1st day orientation at Massey University. well.. Mt Ruapehu already catch my heart, plus Kak Ila n Abg Ziad (our ‘penghulu’ for Msian student here)keep on assuaged me to join them for the trip. at last, I decided to go with them. well.. i think i should grab this ‘golden’ opportunity and never regret it! haha

there are 3 families that joined this trip which were abg ziad+kakila, abg zabidi+kak syam, abg izad+kaklinda and their childrens and also my housemate (kakJu, Salfi) and me. We departed from Palmerston North early in the morning. I was freezing, it was really2 cold outside, even in the car. huhh.. we stopped for branch (bfas n lunch) at Napier, which I dont know where (because i was sleeping, hehehe). the scenery was very beautiful. we can see the whole mountain from far far away.

we arrived at Mt Ruapehu at noon and prayed jama’, we even took our wudhu’ with snow..huhuu.. sejuknyaaaa…hehehehe. then we went up to the hill. the first thing we did were.. playing snow, threw snow ball among us and sliding~ we really enjoyed ourself. Kakju, salfi and I went for ski! we rent boots, skis and poles and went up to the mountain by cable car. you can go to www.MtRuapehu.com to get the details informations. the scenery was superb! amazing! ‘totemo sugoi desu!’ it’s still hard for me to believe that i had already ski at the tremendously beautiful mountain! syukur alhamdulillah~ however, ski is quite scary if we didnt know any basic yet. i fell down many times and screamed most of all time. hahaha.. very funny :P

here we go!

none of us know how to ski because this is our 1st time! and know nothing at all (z.e.r.o). we should go for basic lesson first, at least could learn how to control and break. hwever, we manage to ‘gemble’ and just try by ourself. by the end..all of us felt scary, afraid if we might fell fown to the hill and crush others as i had crushed lots of people at the cable terminal b4.wahahahah.. well.. sweet memory to remain. yeahh.. anyway really2 thanks to kak ila n abg ziad and also to abg zabidi n kak syam, abg izad n kaklinda.

hi, i’m back. I would like to share my experience during my arrival at New Zealand. orait…. I arrived NZ on 4th July, 2008 at 1045am. my flight took about 10-11 hours to reach NZ from KLIA. During the landing time, I can see beautiful ocean and the green land. there are many farms and of course lots of sheep and cow. 4 ur information, the truth fact is, there are 10 sheep per person in NZ. can u imagine? NZ has lots of sheep than human. haha.. menarek kan. jenny @ jente (jgn mare) or normazaini pick me up at the airport. We went back to her house by bus ($15 one way trip) at the auckland city. the weather at that time was very cold. well..i have to learn 2 adapt to winter environment.. that night, we played basketball 2gether with adibah, jenny’s roomate. she’s very nice girl.

on the next day, we went to Devonport island. At that island, many people who came from UK and NZ stay there for their retirement life. The island has 2 big beautiful green hills. usually visitor will climb both hills to see the fantastic view. unfortunately, it was rain quite heavy with the damn cold wind at that time, so I cant climb both hill but just walk around the beach and the Devonport’s town.

Hello world!

Posted in general on July 12, 2008 by huserk

Hi, hello, howdy, kiaora 2 everyone out there.

This is my first time writing in a blog which I can share lots of things with everyone. I’m from Malaysia but currently I’m in New Zealand doing posgrad studies. I hope I can share my life experience here, New Zealand, a wonderful country. As I choose NZ to be the place for my posgrad studies, I will explore New Zealand as much as I can, as far as I can, as adventure as I can, just the same as I explored Borneo while I was studying in Sabah (very fantastic place!!). To fulfill my dreams of climbing mount Kinabalu, rafting Padas, snorkling Sipadan, Kinabatangan jungle trekking, exploring Gua Niah cave, I’d chosen Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) to be my perfect place to study for my bachelor. well..i think..mostly, people will choose their place to study base on the quality or performance of the university. anyway… as for me, instead of courses/ programmes available, I would consider the surrounding area (amazing place to explore!) to be my good reason to choose that particular university. wohoo…n now, Massey University is just the right place for me.. I hope so! yeah..

I love nature. I love outdoor activities. I love sport. I love peace. and..New Zealand has many amazing and beautiful nature scenery and a very calm and peaceful country. dont forget, New Zealand is a paradise for those who crazy for outdoor activities~ yeah… kewl~ :) It seems like NZ is the place that belong to my heart. (dont worry, Malaysia is still no1 in my heart) hehehehe.

Okay.. see u guys later and wait for my next entry. you’ll be surprise! yeyeahhhh. kewl
